Welcome to Riad
Welcome to Riyadh, the birthplace of modern Saudi Arabia, where old world charm meets 21st century vision. Riyadh Province - also known as Al-Wosta - is the country's capital: a modern metropolis with a thriving financial and business center and a growing cultural scene. It is a city steeped in history with countless forts, palaces and museums and and some of the most colorful souks in the country.
Riyadh and surroundings
During the next two days you will get to know Riyadh itself, its history and the regions around Riyadh. You will visit museums in the city and stroll through the oldest souk. For lunch you will visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the Al Turaif Quarter. Today you will experience the sunset from a very special perspective. In airy height on the 302m high Kingdom Center. The next day you will go to the oasis region northwest of Riyadh. Here you will catch a glimpse of the leisurely traditional life. The first Bedouins settled here about 1,500 years ago.
Jeddah
Today you will fly on to Jeddah. On the program is a city tour that starts in the traditional part Al-Balad. This part of the city was already founded in the 7th century and was considered the center of Jeddah at that time. You will also get your money's worth here in terms of taste - in addition to various snacks and tea, you will taste the regional delicacies in a local restaurant in the evening.
Jeddah and Taif
Perched above the Hada Mountains above Mecca and on the eastern slopes of the Al-Sarawat Mountains is the city of Taif, which is the cool and verdant summer capital in the western part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Located in a depression between granite hills rising from the eastern slope of Hejaz in the southwest of the Kingdom, this city is a magnet that attracts visitors from all over Saudi Arabia.
In this day trip, we will experience the highlights of this city by first visiting the old palaces built by the elite. These palaces are now abandoned and not well maintained, but still preserve their original design that give an idea of what these palaces looked like in the 1920s.
You will visit one of the local farms known for growing and producing roses and the old souk. Sample some of the delicacies and take a short walk through the souk before heading back to Jeddah.
The following day you can enjoy at leisure and according to your taste.
Departure
You will be transferred back to the airport today to begin your journey home.
