Day 5 - 6

Jeddah and Taif

Perched above the Hada Mountains above Mecca and on the eastern slopes of the Al-Sarawat Mountains is the city of Taif, which is the cool and verdant summer capital in the western part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Located in a depression between granite hills rising from the eastern slope of Hejaz in the southwest of the Kingdom, this city is a magnet that attracts visitors from all over Saudi Arabia.

In this day trip, we will experience the highlights of this city by first visiting the old palaces built by the elite. These palaces are now abandoned and not well maintained, but still preserve their original design that give an idea of what these palaces looked like in the 1920s.

You will visit one of the local farms known for growing and producing roses and the old souk. Sample some of the delicacies and take a short walk through the souk before heading back to Jeddah.
